<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />27. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006- 73 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FORA JOINT ADVERTISING PROGRAM <br />BETWEEN THE CITY, TANGER PROPERTIES LIMITED <br />PARTNERSHIP, SAN MARCOS FACTORY STORES, LTD., AND THE <br />SAN MARCOS AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE; AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. In order to ensure the continued success of the San Marcos outlet mall area, and to <br />enhance revenue to the City from tourism and retail business activity, the City has used the <br />professional services and resources of Tanger Properties Limited Partnership ("Tanger"), San Marcos <br />Factory Stores, Ltd. and Prime Outlets-San Marcos GP, LLC ("Prime") for joint advertising <br />programs in the past. <br /> <br />2. The City Council wishes to approve the attached agreement, which would continue the <br />joint advertising program this year, and would add the San Marcos Area Chamber of <br />Commerce/Convention and Visitors Bureau (the "Area Chamber") as a contributing partner. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />P ART 1. The attached agreement for professional services for a joint advertising program <br />between the City, Tanger, Prime and the Area Chamber for the 2005-2006 fiscal year ofthe City is <br />approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to execute the attached agreement <br />on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />P ART 3.
