<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />78. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2006- <br /> <br />AI:) <br /> <br />R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS RATIFYING THE EXTENSION OF A CONTRACT WITH <br />ENVIROSOL VE, LLC FOR HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL <br />SERVICES; RATIFYING THE PURCHASING MANAGER'S EXECUTION <br />OF THE APPROPRIATE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF <br />THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. City staff solicited sealed bids for household hazardous waste disposal services, <br />and awarded a contract for these services (the "Contract") to Envirosolve, LLC, on the basis that <br />the bid amount was less than the amount triggering the need for City Council approval. <br /> <br />2. On November the 8, 2004 the City Council ratified the agreement because the <br />total cost of the actual quantities collected exceeded the amount triggering the need for City <br />Council approval. <br /> <br />3. On June 7, 2005 the City Council again ratified the agreement because the total <br />cost of the actual quantities collected exceeded the amount triggering the need for City Council <br />approval. <br /> <br />4. On May 23, 2005, City staff executed a letter agreement extending the Contract in <br />accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract. <br /> <br />5. The City now owes Envirosolve $32,650.00, on the basis of actual quantities <br />collected, exceeded the amount triggering the need for City Council approval, and the CIty <br />Council wishes to ratify the contract extension to Envirosolve, LLC. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The award and execution of a contract extension with Envirosolve, LLC <br />for the provision of household hazardous waste disposal services in the total amount of <br />$32,650.00 is ratified. <br /> <br />PART 2. The Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl's execution of the <br />appropriate purchasing documents on behalf of the City is ratified. <br /> <br />PART 3. <br />after its passage. <br /> <br />This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 16th day of May, <br /> <br />2006. <br />
