RESOLUTION 2006- AI:) R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS RATIFYING THE EXTENSION OF A CONTRACT WITH ENVIROSOL VE, LLC FOR HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL SERVICES; RATIFYING THE PURCHASING MANAGER'S EXECUTION OF THE APPROPRIATE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. City staff solicited sealed bids for household hazardous waste disposal services, and awarded a contract for these services (the "Contract") to Envirosolve, LLC, on the basis that the bid amount was less than the amount triggering the need for City Council approval. 2. On November the 8, 2004 the City Council ratified the agreement because the total cost of the actual quantities collected exceeded the amount triggering the need for City Council approval. 3. On June 7, 2005 the City Council again ratified the agreement because the total cost of the actual quantities collected exceeded the amount triggering the need for City Council approval. 4. On May 23, 2005, City staff executed a letter agreement extending the Contract in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract. 5. The City now owes Envirosolve $32,650.00, on the basis of actual quantities collected, exceeded the amount triggering the need for City Council approval, and the CIty Council wishes to ratify the contract extension to Envirosolve, LLC. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The award and execution of a contract extension with Envirosolve, LLC for the provision of household hazardous waste disposal services in the total amount of $32,650.00 is ratified. PART 2. The Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl's execution of the appropriate purchasing documents on behalf of the City is ratified. PART 3. after its passage. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and ADOPTED this the 16th day of May, 2006.
