<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />- 4 - <br /> <br />ARTICLE III. <br />ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />Additional serVlces of Engineers shall consist of: <br /> <br />A) Revision of drawings and specifications after <br />the contract for Project is awarded made at <br />City's request which involves extra services <br />and expense to Engineer. <br /> <br />B) Any professional engineering service mutually <br />agreed upon by the parties which is not ex- <br />pressly provided for in Article II. <br /> <br />ARTICLE IV. <br />COHPENSATION <br /> <br />City agrees to pay engineer for the services rendered ln <br />the following manner: <br /> <br />A. The basic services described in Article II shall be <br />paid for on the basis of a percentage of construction <br />cost of the project. The percentage will be taken from <br />the Standard TSPE-ASCE 1971 curve based on the lowest <br />reliable acceptable bid. <br />1) When preliminary and/or final plans are delivered to <br />City for preliminary review and comment, Engineer <br />may request payment based on an ~stimated cost <br />approved by City of up to seventy (70) perc'ent of <br />the engineering fees. Final payment of this portion <br />of the fee will be made upon authorization by <br />the City Council of the City of San Marcos to <br />advertise for bids on the Project. <br />2) At the time Engineer delivers to City a written <br />recommendation for the award of thp r.ontract. <br />Engineer may request payment of fifteen (IS) <br />percent of the engineering fee. Payment of this <br />portion of the fee shall be made upon approval <br />of the contract by the City Council of the City <br />of San Marcos. <br />3) The fee due to Engineer under (1) and (2) shall <br />be adjusted to conform to the fee due Engineer <br />based on the lowest reliable acceptable bid. <br />4) Upon completion of construction, Engineer may <br />request payment of the remaining fifteen (15) <br />percent of engineering fee. Payment of this <br />portion of the engineering fee shall be made <br />upon approval of final payment of Project by the <br />City Council of the City of San Marcos. <br />5) Should the City elect to modify or delete portions <br />or segments of this project after award of the <br />construction contract has been made, then appropriate <br />adjustment will be made based upon the revised con- <br />struction contract cost. <br /> <br />B. Payment for additional services described in Article III <br />shall be paid on a monthly basis as the work is performed <br />and at the hourly rates that follow: <br /> <br />Principal-Ray V.
