I I I 146 ORDINANCE NO. 1980-18 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, SETTING RATES OF FARE FOR PASSENGERS OF VEHICLES OTHER THAN AUTOMOBILES WHICH PROVIDE SURFACE TRANSPORTATION ALONG DESIGNATED ROUTES ADJACENT TO THE SAN MARCOS RIVER AND WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there be, and there are hereby, established rates of fare for passengers of any vehicle other than an auto- mobile providing surface transportation along designated routes adjacent to the San Marcos River within the corporate limits of the city of San Marcos. Said rates of fare shall be as follows: For transportation from a beginning point on Houston Street in the vicinity of the Rio Vista Dam to an ending point in the vicinity of the intersection of Sessom Drive and University Drive the rate of fare for each passenger shall be seventy five cents ($0.75). SECTION 2. That any vehicle charging the rate of fare established in Section 1 shall post signs in conspicuous places on the vehicle which state the fare to be charged. Said signs shall be clearly visible to persons who are boarding the vehicle. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days from and after its final passage and publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the area.
