I I j Jj I' 148 RESOLUTION NO. 1980-32R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY TO REQUEST AN AMENDMENT TO EPA GRANT #C-481464-01-0; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES BETWEEN SAID CITY AND FREESE AND NICHOLS, INC., EXECUTED MAY 7, 1979 TO PROVIDE FOR SERVICES IN CONNEC- TION WITH A SEWER SYSTEM EVALUATION SURVEY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas entered into a contract with Freese and Nichols, Inc. on May 7, 1979 for the orovision of Engineering Services in connection with proposed improvements in the City's wastewater collection program; and WHEREAS, a part of the work performed by Freese and Nichols, Inc. included an pnalysis of an Inflow-Infiltration Study of the City's wastewater collection system; and WHEREAS, that analysis has identified excessive inflow and infiltration into the wastewater collection system and indicates the need for a sewer system evaluation survey; and WHEREAS, said City has entered into an Environmental Protection Agency Program and has accepted grant assistance from that Agency on January 14, 1980 in the form of Grant #C-481464-01-0; and WHEREAS, in view of the fact that the Environmental Protection Agency requires a Sewer System Evaluation Survey when inflow and infiltration problems have been indicated as described above; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TE XAS : PART 1. That the City Manager, A.C. Gonzalez, of the City of San Marcos, Texas be, and is hereby, authorized to request an amendment of EPA Grant #C-481464-01-0 in order to recieve funding assistance for the required Sewer System Evaluation Survey. PART 2. That said city manager be hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Contract Eor Engineering Services entered into by City with Freese and Nichols, Inc. on May 7, 1979, said amendment to provide for services in connection with a Sewer System Evaluation Survey as required by the Environmental Protection Agency, a copy of said Amendment No. 1 being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
