<br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
<br />
<br />The Mayor introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of
<br />the regu1ar meeting held May 12, 1980. Mr. Cavazos moved for approval
<br />of the minutes. Mr. Tenorio seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
<br />
<br />The Mayor introduced for consideration appointments to the Board of
<br />Equalization. Mr. James nominated John Kreczmer. Mr. Cavazos nominated
<br />Col. Graham Kyle. Mr. Stokes nominated Sammie L.C. Hardeman, Carolyn
<br />Shellman, Glen Norris and Lou Cole. Mr. Brown nominated Dr. Maurice
<br />Erickson. Mr. Kraus moved for nominations to cease. Mr. Cavazos seconded
<br />the motion, which passed unanimously. On roll call, the following vote
<br />was recorded:

<br />The Mayor then introduced for consideration an Ordinance on emergency
<br />having the following caption:
<br />
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' SAN MARCOS, TEXAS,
<br />APPOINTING A BOARD OF EQUALIZATION; FIXING THE TIME OF THE
<br />BOARD'S FIRST MEETING; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
<br />
<br />Mr. Cavazos moved the Ordinance be adopted on an emergency. Mr. James
<br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
<br />
<br />The Mayor then notriduced for consideration nominations to the Library
<br />Board. Mr. Brown nominated Anna Farr. Mr. Cavazos moved the nominations
<br />cease and that Anna Farr be appointed by acclamation. Mr. Stokes seconded
<br />the motion, which passed unanimously.
<br />
<br />The Mayor introduced for consideration nominations to the Fair Housing
<br />Commission. Mr. Cavazos nominated Mr. Joe Parks. Mr. Stokes moved that
<br />the four people placed in nomination, Dan Farlow, Margie Villalpando,
<br />Dwight Harris and Joe Parks be appointed by acclamation. Mr. Cavazos
<br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

<br />The Mayor introduced for consideration nominations to the Environmental
<br />Advisory Board. Mr. Tenorio moved that Gerald Farr, Glenn Longley,
<br />Ken Long and Mildred Sessom be appointed. Mr. James seconded the motion,
<br />which passed unanimously.

<br />The Mayor introduced for consideration nominations to the Airport
<br />Commission. Mr. Stokes moved for this to be indefinitely tabled. He
