Hansen
r.1a rcos

78666

Dear Mayor Hansen:

Re: City of San ['1arcos,
Permit No. 10273

On f.1arch 13, 1980 and on ~1ay 5, 1980, enforcement conferences were held in
Austin, Texas to discuss the city's compliance with Enforcement Order No.
77-03 and specifically to discuss the city's plans to comply with Provision
4 of that enforcement order.

I

This letter is to inform you that an Enforcement Compliance Directive incor-
porating the provisions of the city of San Marcos' corrective action program
is being issued to the city of San Marcos. Copies of this compliance directive
are enclosed for your consideration. You should indicate your acceptance of
this compliance directive by signing both copies in the appropriate space and
returning the original within 30 days. In any event, the original should be
returned within 30 days. If accepted by the city of San Marcos, the Executive
Director will withhold further formal enforcement action so long as the city
complies with the terms of the directive. If the directive is not accepted,
the department will consider further enforcement action.

The directive does not constitute a waiver or modification of a requirement of
the permit, the Texas Water Code, or any other applicable requirement, nor
waive any right to civil penalties for any violations committed prior to or
during the period that the directive is in effect. Although the directive
specifies deadlines by which corrective measures should be accomplished, it
may be in the city's best interest to complete each item specified in the
shortest period of time possible.

P,O.
