Gonzalez <br />Doriss Hambrick <br />Barbara Edwards <br />Earl Williams <br />Albert Sierra <br /> <br />Also Present: Joe Garza, Bill Howle, Jerri Martin, Jeff Watkins, <br />John Kreczmer~ Stuart Travis, Terry Roberts, Evelyn Honea, Donna <br />Phillips, Sharyl Werner, Ollie Giles, Lanny Griffith, Ken Long, <br />Gordon Thompson, Wayne Moore and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The Mayor deferred to item #4 until the arrival of the City Attorney. <br />The City Manager went over the extension policy. The Mayor stated <br />that he wanted all requests for utility service outside of the City <br />limits to be accompanied by a request for annexation and that the <br />Council will take action on all requests for utility service outside <br />of the City limits. <br /> <br />The Mayor then returned to item #3 on the agenda, to consider accepting <br />Mill Street property for use as a public street. The City Attorney <br />stated that the property was deeded to the City, but that the City <br />has never maintained the street. Mr. Stokes made a motion that a <br />portion of property deeded to the City from Uhland Road to the Cone <br />property be drawn up in an instrument of dedication for public use <br />by the City Attorney and filed for record. Mr. James seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor then returned to item #4 on the agenda. The Mayor requested <br />that a building permit be requested within 3 months or the utility <br />request and building permit be requested at the same time. The Council <br />then discussed the feasibility of a construction crew. Mr. Stokes <br />recommended that the Mayor appoint one of the Council Members to work <br />with staff to finalize the policy. The general concensus of the Council <br />was for the policy to include 100' at City expense, the construction <br />crew and the developer to pay for an 8" minimum line. <br /> <br />The Mayor then introduced for consideration the Utility Fund Budget. <br />The Council discussed the budget at length and unanimously decided to <br />call a General Fund Worksession for Wednesday, August 6th at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:05 p.m. on motion of Mr. Brown and second <br />of Mr. James. <br /> <br />"(1M t~ <br /> <br />Karl W.
