<br />I~ <br /> <br />CONTRACT FOR <br /> <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br />I COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> <br /> <br />This contract entered into this gtlz day of ~~, <br />1980, by and between the CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, he einafter called <br />the City, acting by and through A. C. Gonzalez, its City Manager, duly <br />authorized to act and FREESE AND NICHOLS, INC., of Austin, Texas, Regis- <br />tered Professional Engineers, hereinafter called the Engineer. <br /> <br />Witnesseth, that in consideration of the covenants and agreements <br />herein contained, the parties hereto do mutually agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Employment of Engineer: The City hereby employs the Engineer <br />and the Engineer agrees to perform professional services in connection <br />with preparation of a Water Distribution System Analysis. <br /> <br />2. Scope of Services by Engineer: The following studies will be <br />conducted: <br /> <br />Scope of Services: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The scope of the investigations and reports will be of suf- <br />ficient detail to prepare master plans for the development of <br />the water distribution system that will be adequate to meet <br />the projected requirements for the years 1987 and 2000. The <br />scope of services has been divided into seven tasks which are <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Task 1 - Adapt the population projections and distributions <br />developed as a part of the San Marcos Master Plan <br />for Development for use in this study. <br /> <br />Task 2 - Analyze the historic water usage for average and <br />peak conditions based on available data. Utilizing <br />the information developed in Task 1, future water <br />requirements will be developed based on projected <br />per capita consumption and future average and peak <br />water consumption rates. Consideration will be <br />given to the water demand of customers outside of <br />the City of San Marcos distribution system. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />~~ <br />
