<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />131 <br /> <br />regular meeting <br /> <br />september 8, 1980 <br /> <br />page seven <br /> <br />The Mayor then introduced for consideration the Utility Fund Budget. <br />Mr. Stokes moved to increase the Salary and Benefit Adjustments to <br />$61,610. Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mrs. Norris moved to approve the 2.61 new positions as follows: <br />2 Utility Servicemen, .40 Data Entry Clerk and .34 City Planner. <br />Mr. James seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, James, Kraus, Norris, Stokes, Tarbutton <br /> <br />NAY: Cavazos <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved to approve $156,410 for proposed capital outlay. <br />Mr. Stokes seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. James <br />moved to approve the Non-Personnel and Capital Line Items for Depts. <br />56, 79 and 81 in the Revenue Sharing Entitlement 12 Budget. Mrs. <br />Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. James moved <br />to approve the proposed Utility Fund Revenues. Mrs. Norris seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. ~1r. Stokes moved to transfer <br />$885 from Revenue Sharing to Utility Fund. Mrs. Norris seconded the <br />motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, James, Kraus, Norris, Stokes, Tarbutton <br /> <br />NAY: Cavazos <br /> <br />Mr. Stokes made a motion to set aside the previous motion. Mr. Cavazos <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Stokes moved to <br />increase revenues by $885. Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. Mr. James moved to increase the ad valorem tax revenues <br />by $112,736. The tax rate would be increased by 12~. Mr. Brown <br />seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, James, Kraus, Norris, Stokes <br /> <br />NAY: Cavazos, Tarbutton <br /> <br />The Hayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on emergency having <br />the following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, SETTING FORTH AN ITEMIZED EST~MATE <br />OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH DEPARTMENT, DIVISION <br />AND OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY <br />FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1980 AND <br />ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1981 AND APPROPRIATING MONEY <br />FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE; <br />REVISING THE BUDGET FOR THE PRECEDING FISCAL YEAR ENDING <br />ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1981; APPROPRIATING MONEY TO PAY INTEREST <br />AND PRINCIPAL SINKING FUND REQUIREMENTS ON ALL OUTSTANDING <br />INDEBTEDNESS; PROVIDING A SAVING CLAUSE FOR THE REPEAL <br />OF ALL ORDINANCES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN CONFLICT WITH <br />THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE AND DECLARlNG AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved to adopt the Ordinance on emergency. Mr. James seconded <br />the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, James, Kraus, Norris, Stokes <br /> <br />NAY: Cavazos, Tarbutton <br />
