I I I 11 RESOLUTION NO. 1980-71-R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CAMP GARY PARKjAUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND A CERTIFICATE OF LAND DEDICATION FOR PARK USE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas has applied for financial aid in devel~ping a 40.85 acre tract of land located in Caldwell County for use as a park site; and, WHEREAS, said City has been informed by William R. Kopp, Chief of the Grants-in-Aid Branch of the Texas Parks and wildlife Depart- ment that the project proposal for Camp Gary Park, Project Number 48-00785, has been conditionally approved, pending receipt and acceptance of floodplain requirements; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of said City wishes to enter into an agreement with the Texas Parks and ~vildlife Department in which it accepts the responsibility and obligations of said projectj now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, 'rEXAS: PART 1. That the Land and Water Conservation Fund Agreement between the City of San Marcos, Texas and the Texas Parks and wild- life Department for the development of Camp Gary Park, a copy of said agreement being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and is hereby, in all things approved. PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Kenneth V. Kraus, be, and is hereby, authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of said city and a Certificate of Land Dedication For Park Use PART 3.
