<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1980-S6R <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING <br />FREE PARKING IN METERED PARKING STALLS <br />IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT FROM <br />FRIDAv, DECEMBER 12, 1980 THROUGH SAT- <br />URDAY, JANUARY 17, 1981; AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, members of the Downtown Revitalization Committee have <br />petitioned the City Council to authorize a free parking meter <br />holiday in the Central Business District during the coming <br />holiday season; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to encourage the citizens of <br />San Marcos to patronize local businesses by removing metered <br />parking during the Christmas and New Year's shopping season; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART1. That the enforcement of metered parking in the Central <br />Business District of San Marcos, Texas, be withheld beginning <br />on Friday, December 12, 1980 and ending on Saturday, January <br />17,1981. <br /> <br />PART 2.
