PROVIDE FOR THE GRO\VTH INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS OF SA1'i <br />MARCOS. <br /> <br />A. Drainage <br /> <br />1. Implement the drainage utility plan with no exemptions. <br />2. Implement CIP projects that address drainage improvements. <br />3. Include drainage improvements in on-going road work, where appropriate. <br />4. Maintain all drainage channels. <br />5. Implement a flood warning system. <br /> <br />B. Transportation <br /> <br />1. Increase funding for street construction and maintenance. <br />2. Increase Street Overlay Funding to meet 18 lane mile goal. <br />3. Continue funding the sidewalk program with an emphasis on heavily traveled <br />street and school routes. <br />4. Pursue a program of sharing costs with private property owners for curbing to <br />preserve streets while making sure projects will not have a detrimental effect on <br />drainage. <br />5. Pursue a cross to\\l1 artery. <br /> <br />C. Public Utilities <br /> <br />1. Promote consen"ation efforts. <br />2. Maintain an effective electric system \\ith adequate capacity. <br />3. Continue implementing planned rate increases for surface water project. <br />
