The Council returned into regular session at approximately 6:15 p.m. Council provided direction <br />to Staff to move forward on during the executive session. <br />5. COUNCIL MEMBER UPDATES: Receive status reports and updates from the Mayor <br />and/or Council Members and a general discussion regarding the following: Council <br />Member Porterfield: Updates regarding Lone Star Rail, CAPCOG Executive Committee <br />and the Youth Master Plan. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Prather and a second by Council Member <br />Thomaides the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed, to postpone items 5, 6, and 7 until the <br />April 3, 2012 meeting. The motion carried unanimously. <br />6. Receive a Staff Presentation regarding the City Council Initiative of "Customer Friendly <br />Processes," and provide direction to staff. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Prather and a second by Council Member <br />Thomaides the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to postpone items 5, 6, <br />and 7 until the April 3, 2012 meeting. The motion carried unanimously. <br />7. The motion carried unanimously. <br />8. Invocation <br />Pastor Tom Glasoe from First Lutheran Church provided the invocation. <br />9. Pledges of Allegiance — United States and Texas <br />Liam Fiero, a fifth grade student at Hernandez Elementary School led the assembly in the <br />pledges of allegiance. <br />10.30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />Jim Garber, 104 Canyon Fork, spoke about a meeting that was held in regards to Hillside Ranch <br />phase 2 project in conjunction with the developer. He spoke highly about Jared Schenk and his <br />willingness to work with the neighbors. However, he is still opposed to the development and the <br />rezoning of single family land to multifamily. <br />Nancy Moore, 15 Tanglewood, recommended "The Lorax" movie to everyone. Spoke about the <br />designation of a World Heritage Site here in San Marcos and the 10 requirements. She would <br />really like to see this come to pass. <br />
