I ~ (\.f. :5i.8) ::;;-1 0 81- 1L!~1 ~ &1 189 ORDINANCE 1999 - iLL AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE ABANDONMENT OF THE 15 FOOT ALLEYWAY LOCATED BETWEEN LOTS 4 THROUGH 8 OF BLOCK 4 OF CEDAR PLATEAU ADDITION, LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE 1300 BLOCK OF BROWN STREET; APPROVING THE CONVEYANCE OF THIS ALLEYWAY TO ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNERS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DEEDS TO THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. On February 23, 1999, the City Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on the proposed abandonment of the 15 foot alleyway between Lots 4 through 8, SIock 4 of the Cedar Plateau Addition, located in the 1300 block of Brown Street, and voted unanimously to approve the proposal. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The abandonment of the 15 foot alleyway between Lots 4 through 8, Block 4, Cedar Plateau Addition, located in the 1300 block of Brown Street is approved. SECTION 2. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute Quitclaim Deeds attached to this ordinance conveying to adjacent property owners the portion of the 15 foot alleyway described above, without cash consideration. SECTION 3. This Ordinance will take effect 10 days after the date of its final passage, and the City Secretary will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City.
