RESOLUTION 2012 - 37 R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN <br />SERVICES NO. 1 TO AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND <br />GATEWAY PLANNING GROUP, INC. FOR THE PROVISION OF <br />ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH <br />THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DOWNTOWN MASTER PLAN <br />PROJECT; INCREASING THE AGREEMENT AMOUNT FROM <br />$41,934.00 TO $206,000.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THE AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN SERVICES AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />1. On October 21, 2011 the City entered into an agreement (the "Agreement ") with <br />Gateway Planning Group, Inc. (the "Consultant ") for the provision of professional services in <br />connection with Phase 1 of the Implementation of the Downtown Master Plan Project (the <br />"Project ") in the amount of $41,934.00. <br />2. The City wishes to proceed with Phase 2 of the Project as was originally <br />contemplated. <br />3. In order to proceed with Phase 2 of the Project, it is necessary to increase the <br />amount of this Agreement by $165,000.00; however, the funding required by this ACIS No. 1 <br />will cause the Agreement to exceed the authorized threshold of $50,000.00. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached Authorization of Change in Services No. 1 for $165,000.00 <br />to the Agreement with the Consultant is approved. <br />PART 2. The increase of the Agreement amount from $41,934.00 to $206,934.00 is <br />approved. <br />PART 3. The City Manager is authorized to execute the attached Authorization of <br />Change in Services on behalf of the City. <br />PART 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />after its passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 17th day of April 2012. <br />
