On April 27, 1999 the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br />Marcos held a public meeting regarding a request to change the name of Pecan Street <br />to Redbud Street from its intersection with Peach Tree Street to its terminus east of <br />Sessom Drive. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission did, on April 27,1999, approve the request and has recommend that the <br />request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on 14th day of June, 1999 regarding <br />the request and changed the proposed new street name from Redbud Street to Pecan <br />Tree Street. <br /> <br />4. The City Council changed the proposed new street name from Pecan Tree <br />Street to Loquat Street. <br /> <br />5. All requirements of Chapter 74 of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to <br />street name changes have been meet. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the street name for Pecan Street from Peach Tree Street to <br />Sessom Drive is changed to Loquat Street. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
