<br />san marcos I <br />a fexas natura <br /> <br /> <br />CVB Tourism Product Development Disbursement <br /> <br />Requirements for Funding <br /> <br />A The expenditure must directly enhance and promote tourism and the convention and hotel <br />industry. In other words, the expenditure must be likely to attract visitors from outside the city into <br />the city or its vicinity. <br /> <br />B. Every expenditure must clearly fit into one of the following four categories. <br /> <br />1. Museum/Memorial <br />2. Historic Preservation/Reconstruction <br />3. Recreation/Entertainment Facility <br />4. Arts/Cultural Facility <br /> <br />C. Requirements: <br /> <br />1. Project must not limit attendance by ages, gender, race, or other means, and must be held in a <br />location adequate to accommodate the anticipated attendance. Facilities should be in compliance <br />with the Americans with Disabilities Act. <br /> <br />2. The application must provide disclosure of all financial resources (including all sources of income, <br />such as sponsorships), in-kind services, and a proposed budget for evaluation by the CVB Board. <br /> <br />3. Funding assistance from the CVB cannot be used for administration, salaries, or maintenance of <br />the project. <br /> <br />4. Funding assistance from the CVB must be used for construction, renovation, and/or restoration of <br />a project. <br /> <br />5. Organizations must complete a CVB follow-up report form within 90 days of the completion of the <br />project for which the CVB grant was disbursed. <br /> <br />6. If an organization is not able to expend the grant monies for its proposed project within two years, <br />then the money will be returned to the CVB Tourism Product Development Account. <br /> <br />7 Requesting organizations must have raised in cash and in-kind contributions of an amount equal <br />to or at least 25% of the estimated project cost. <br /> <br />8. The CVB will not disperse monies for tourism product development in increments of less than <br />$10,000. <br /> <br />9. Incomplete applications will not be considered. CVB staff will review the application and inform <br />the contact person of any deficiencies. <br /> <br />10.
