<br />1.4.20 Prepare, or cause to be prepared, and submit to the City one set of reproducible <br />record drawings showing significant changes in the work made during the construction <br />phase. Provide the City with one digital file of the record drawings in Microstation design <br />format. <br /> <br />1.4.21 Ensure that all notices and signs required and provided by the City are posted in <br />the appropriate locations at the Project site. <br /> <br />1.4.22 Conduct final inspection with the City and prepare a punch list prior to final <br />acceptance by the City. <br /> <br />1.4.23 Prior to the end of the one year warranty period, review the completed Project with <br />the City and the Contractor and have all deficient items corrected. The extent ofthe duties, <br />responsibilities and limitations of authority of the Engineer as the City's representative <br />during construction will not be modified or extended after the construction contract <br />documents have been authorized by the City to be competitively bid without written consent <br />of the City and the Engineer and with notice to the Contractor. <br /> <br />1.5 ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />1.5.1 Since the Engineer's compensation is a fixed fee for Basic Services, including minor <br />deviations from those described in this Agreement, compensation to the Engineer for <br />additional services will only be for substantial deviations from the scope of services <br />described in this Agreement. The Engineer will submit a written estimate offees to the City <br />and obtain the City's authorization before initiating any additional services. The above <br />Basic Services do not include any of the Additional Services defined below: <br /> <br />a. Engineering services required during final design to accommodate changes <br />to the preliminary design, as defined in the preliminary engineering report <br />(other that the changes discussed above), requested by the City. <br />b. Services of a resident project representative, for on-the-site observation of <br />construction. <br />c. Restaking after initial staking for design or construction phase. <br />d. Assistance to the City as an expert witness in any litigation with third parties <br />arising from the development or construction of the project. <br />e. Detailed mill, shop, and/or laboratory inspection of materials or equipment. <br />f. Travel and subsistence required of the Engineer and authorized by the City <br />to points other than City buildings and Project site. <br />g. Construction phase materials testing. <br />h. Preparation of easement descriptions for permanent and temporary <br />construction easements. <br />I. Additional copies of reports and specifications and additional blueline copies <br />of drawings over agreed numbers described in the Basic Services. <br />J. Preparation of a Traffic Control Plan. Traffic control will be coordinated and <br />performed by the City and the Contractor. <br /> <br />8 <br />
