<br />8. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1998- 30 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.1 TO THE ROUTINE AIRPORT <br />MAINTENANCE PROGRAM GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY <br />AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR ROUTINE <br />MAINTENANCE OF THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AMENDMENT <br />ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On May 19, 1997 the City of San Marcos approved a grant agreement with <br />the Texas Department of Transportation ("TxDOT") for grant funding through the Routine <br />Airport Maintenance Program (''RAMP'') for FY-97. <br /> <br />2. Amendment 1 to the RAMP Grant Agreement extends the present agreement <br />for another year (FY-98). <br /> <br />3. Both parties wish to extend the RAMP Grant Agreement for an additional <br /> <br />year. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The attached Amendment NO.1 to the RAMP Grant Agreement between <br />the City and TxDOT is approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The expenditure of approximately $10,000.00 in local matching funds by <br />the City is approved. <br /> <br />PART 3. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute this <br />amendment on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 4.
