impacl have five to 12'mon~ioSng wells. Removal of remediation system components is
esfinaated by labor required.

Personnel Costs $ 7,955
Driller Mob, Rig, Equipment, P & A Costs $ 19,590
Waste Disposal $ 2,068
Travel Costs (four days field work) $ 1,2 l0

Total iEstimate, LPST Site Closure

$ 30,824

This cost estimate is predicated on City of San Marcos personnel being usext to remove all
above-ground remediatinn system equipment at the City's cost, and without *pecific direction
from Chapman Engineering personnel. We also do not intend to locate or remove any
m~der~oand piping that may connect recovery wells to remediation systems. Any piping that
extends below grade from remedisfion system equipment should be cut and capped by City
personnel. If recovery trenches are still open - that is, no competent paving or other surface seal
is in place - the City of San Man:os should lay back existing paving at least one foot around each
opening, then place a six-inch, or thicker re[nfomed concrete slab over each trench to seal it from
surface water infiltration. This will also serve as a good-quality driving and pm:king surface.

It is my opinion that TCEQ will not consider a proposal and preapproval ~:equest for
reimbursement of these costs to the City. If you wish for us to take that approach and submit this
proposal, with detailed cost breakdown infommtion, we can do so.

We will schedule th.c site closure wm'k upon your approval of the scope and estimated costs, and
wh,n given, your notice to proceed. As Mth earlier drilling work, we will request two-thirds of
the total cost estimate one we~k before w~ll plugging and abandonment work commence~.

For quesfians or eommants, please contact me at 830-816-3311.
President and Project Manager, TNRCC CAPM00255

CCC/~Lm

2
