<br />Insurance Study being perfonned by FEMA and coordinated with the Lower Colorado River <br />Authority, Travis County communities and interested agencies. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />On December 13, 2005, John Ivey, PE, CFM, Halff Associates, met with representatives from <br />LCRA to discuss installation of USGS type stream gages in Hays County to be funded by a <br />HMGP Grant (Hurricane Rita). LCRA expressed interest in both installing and maintaining the <br />gages if they can be included in the LCRA Hydro-Met System. <br /> <br />1.8 Evaluating Hazards and Establishing Goals <br /> <br />On April 24, 2003, May 29, 2003, June 26, 2003, July 24, 2003, and September 18, 2003, the <br />Mitigation Planning Committee met to discuss and outline a plan to define local hazards, assess the <br />risks and to establish goals. On October 23, 2003, the Committee met to establish and finalize the goals <br />and objectives for Hays County and incorporated communities in the county. The Hays County <br />Mitigation Plan Goals are described in Section 4.0 of this Plan. <br /> <br />1.9 Distribution of the Draft Action Plan <br /> <br />On October 31, 2003, Halff Associates, Inc., on behalf of the Hays County Mitigation Planning <br />Committee, submitted the initial draft of the Mitigation Plan to "Other Agencies" for review <br />with comments and recommendations requested by November 30, 2003. These agencies were <br />requested to review common problems, development policies, mitigation services, <br />inconsistencies and conflicts in policies, plans, programs, and regulations.
