In <br />1998, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) published the Hays County and I <br />Incorporated Areas Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) which is countywide mapping that <br />includes the Hays County unincorporated area and all incorporated communities within the <br />county. Table 4, "Hays County Existing NFIP Mapping" is a summary of the Hays County <br />FIRM dated February 18, 1998. Table 4 includes a listing of Flood Insurance Rate Map <br />(FIRM) map panels, FEMA identification number, publication date, map scale, list of streams <br />delineated, floodways delineated and remarks. The "Remarks" section of Table 4 includes <br />NFIP status for all incorporated areas in Hays County showing the initial identification date, <br />Post FIRM date and date of the effective FIRM.
