INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND GUADALUPE BLANCO RIVER AUTHORITY HANDLING. PROCESSING AND DELIVERY OF WATER SAMPLES THIS AGREEMENT ("Agreement") is being made and entered into by and between the CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS ("City") and the GUADALUPE-BLANCO RIVER AUTHORITY ("GBRA"), and is being made for the purposes and consideration stated herem. WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, GBRA is a conservation and reclamation dIstrict and political subdivision of the State of Texas, created pursuant to Article XVI, Section 59 of the Texas Constitution, by special act of the Legislature; and WHEREAS, the City is a municipality organized under the laws of the State of Texas; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority granted to the City and GBRA under applicable law, including Section 791.011 of the Government Code, the City and GBRA wish to enter into this Agreement for GBRA's provision of water sample handling; and WHEREAS, in furtherance of the above-referenced purpose, the City and GBRA have agreed to enter into this Agreement. NOW THEREFORE, the City and GBRA, for and in consideration of the covenants and agreements set forth herein, hereby agree as follows: Section 1. Purpose of Aereement The City and GBRA hereby agree that, subject to the terms and provisions of this Agreement, that GBRA will handle, process and deliver samples of the City's groundwater well which falls under the Long-Term 2 Rule monitoring requirements. Section 2. Scope of Services GBRA will handle processing and delivery of samples as follows: Cryptosporidium analyses through its subcontractor, Signature Science - $27,335.00 E. Coli Bacterial analyses - $ 914.00 TurbIdity (through the San Marcos Surface Water Treatment Plant) - $ 0.00 $28,249.00 The City agrees to pay the above listed fixed fee based for sampling conducted over a 24 month samplIng schedule, with two sampling events per month as requested by the City.
