On August 8, 2006, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos <br />held a public hearing regarding a request to change the Future Land Use Map of the San Marcos <br />Horizons City Master Plan from Low Density Residential to Commercial, and a concurrent <br />request to change the zoning from "SF-6" Single Family District to Neighborhood Commercial <br />District, for a 113.333 acre, more or less, tract ofland located in the 2500 - 2800 blocks ofIH-35 <br />South. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />considered and voted to approve the requests on August 8, 2006, and recommended that the <br />requests be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on September 1 9 , 2006 regarding the <br />requests. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 1, Development Procedures, of the City Land <br />Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map Amendments and Zoning Map <br />amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Future Land Use Plan of the San Marcos Horizons City Master Plan is <br />revised to change the future land use designation for the following real property from Low <br />Density Residential to Commercial: <br /> <br />Street address: 1200 Old Martindale Road <br /> <br />Size: 0.98 acre, more or less <br />
