6.2 The forgoing shall in no way relieve the City of its obligations to provide routine patrol services to property within the District on the same basis as such services are provided to the other property within the City. The forgoing services shall be in addition to and not in lieu of such routine services. PAYMENTS AND COMPENSATION: 7.1 For budgeting purpose, the District should inquire each year of the City Police Department as to the anticipated salary grade and step and benefits for officer or officers assigned as School Resource Officers. 7.2 The District will pay to the City an amount equal to 50% of the annual salary and benefits costs of the four SRO officers. 7.3 The District will make payment to the City on a reimbursement basis, billed bi-monthly out of the current fiscal years revenues. 7.4 The initial payment for 2006 shall be made no later than October 31, 2006 7.5 If this agreement is terminated for any reason by either party during the course of a school year, the District will be obligated to pay only a pro-rated portion of the annual cost of the SRO program payable by the District as per section 7.2, and the City will refund to the District any excess amount paid to the City.
