<br />6.2 The forgoing shall in no way relieve the City of its obligations to provide routine patrol <br />services to property within the District on the same basis as such services are provided to the <br />other property within the City. The forgoing services shall be in addition to and not in lieu of <br />such routine services. <br /> <br />PAYMENTS AND COMPENSATION: <br /> <br />7.1 For budgeting purpose, the District should inquire each year of the City Police <br />Department as to the anticipated salary grade and step and benefits for officer or officers <br />assigned as School Resource Officers. <br /> <br />7.2 The District will pay to the City an amount equal to 50% of the annual salary and benefits <br />costs of the four SRO officers. <br /> <br />7.3 The District will make payment to the City on a reimbursement basis, billed bi-monthly <br />out of the current fiscal years revenues. <br /> <br />7.4 The initial payment for 2006 shall be made no later than October 31, 2006 <br /> <br />7.5 If this agreement is terminated for any reason by either party during the course of a <br />school year, the District will be obligated to pay only a pro-rated portion of the annual cost of the <br />SRO program payable by the District as per section 7.2, and the City will refund to the District <br />any excess amount paid to the City. <br /> <br />NOTICE: <br /> <br />8.1 Any notice given hereunder shall be in writing and may be affected by personal delivery <br />or by registered or certified mail, return receipt requested, at the address of the respective parties <br />below. <br /> <br />District: <br /> <br />Superintendent <br />San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District <br />P.O.
