<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE ONE OR MORE <br />SERIES OF CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City CouncIl of the City of San Marcos, Texas <br />(the"City"), at its meeting to commence at 7:00 P.M. on September 19, 2006, at its regular meeting <br />place in the CIty Hall, 630 East Hopkms, San Marcos, Texas, tentatIvely proposes to authorize the <br />issuance of interest bearing certificates of obligation of the City, in one or more series, in the total <br />aggregate pnncipal amount not to exceed $23,000,000, for the public purpose ofpaymg contractual <br />obligations incurred or to be mcurred for: (1) constructing, acqUIring and equipping a conference <br />center facility and related improvements mcluding parkmg facihties and utility and infrastructure <br />improvements to be located in the vicImty of the northeast side of the intersection of McCarty Lane <br />and IH-35; (2) capitalizing interest on the certIficates of obhgation and (3) the payment of <br />professional services in connectIOn therewith including legal, fiscal and engineering fees and the <br />costs of issuing the certificates of obligation. The City presently proposes to provide for the payment <br />of each series of certificates of obligation by the levy of ad valorem taxes, within the limits <br />prescribed by law. Each series of the certificates of obligatIOn will be addItionally payable from a <br />limited pledge of the City's water and waste water system not to exceed $1,000. <br /> <br />S,mMarcos.06A.lnlcnl Resolution <br />
