On March 23, 2006, the City Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing <br />regarding a request to change the Future Land Use Map of the San Marcos Horizons City Master <br />Plan from Medium Density Residential to Public, and a concurrent request to change the zoning <br />from "MF-12" Multiple Family District to "P" Public and Institutional District, for a 0.3 acre, <br />more or less, tract of land located at 441 Burleson Street. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission on that date <br />considered and voted to approve the requests, and recommended that the requests be approved <br />by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on Allgll~j-? J ?(l(l6 regarding the <br />requests. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 1, Development Procedures, of the City Land <br />Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map Amendments and Zoning Map <br />amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1.
