<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND
<br />USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY, FROM
<br />LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO MEDIUM DENSITY
<br />RESIDENTIAL FOR PORTIONS OF THE EL CAMINO REAL
<br />SUBDIVISION LOCATED ALONG CALIXTO COURT,
<br />ESP ADA DRIVE, CORDERO DRIVE, CAPISTRANO DRIVE,
<br />V ALERO DRIVE, XAVIER DRIVE, SALERNO DRIVE,
<br />SALAS DRIVE, CAZADOR DRIVE, TERaN DRIVE, AND
<br />AZOLAR DRIVE; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL
<br />PROVISIONS.

<br />RECITALS:
<br />
<br />1. On May 23, 2006, the City Planning and Zoning Commission held a public
<br />hearing regarding a request to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan from
<br />Low Density Residential to Medium Density Residential for portions of the EI Camino
<br />Real Subdivision located along Calixto Court, Espada Drive, Cordero Drive, Capistrano
<br />Drive, Valero Drive, Xavier Drive, Salerno Drive, Salas Drive, Cazador Drive, Teron
<br />Drive, and Azolar Drive.
<br />
<br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning
<br />Commission, on May 23, 2006, considered the request and voted to approve it and has
<br />recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City.
<br />
<br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on Jul y 3
<br />regarding the request.

<br />4. All requirements of the City Master Plan and the City Land Development Code
<br />pertaining to Future Land Use Map amendments have been met.

<br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of this
<br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety,

<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS:

<br />SECTION 1. The following described tract of real property, which is in an area
<br />shown on the Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan of the City of San Marcos as
<br />Low Density Residential, shall be shown on that map as Medium Density Residential:
