1.0.7 Sean Compton, LEED AP, Principal is the Consultant's Representative assigned to this <br />Agreement. The Consultant will not substitute another representative unless approved in writing <br />by the City in advance of such proposed substitution. In the event the City and the Consultant <br />cannot agree to the substitution of the Consultant's Representative, the City may terminate this <br />agreement in accordance with Article 7. <br />1.1 TASK 1— PREPARATION FOR DESIGN RODEO <br />The Consultant will: <br />1.1.1 Prepare for an effective design rodeo by reviewing background data prepared by the <br />Project team, investigate critical land use /transportation issues and prepare materials for the <br />conduct of the design rodeo prior to the event taking place. <br />1.1.2 Conduct an overview assessment of development patterns throughout San Marcos as well <br />as districts, corridors and nodes within the City. Conduct a study area photographic tour to <br />include the driving and walking of key locations. <br />1.1.3 Prepare a land use palette that represents development pattern typologies, depicting <br />densities and development pattern characteristics as communication graphic exhibits for use at <br />the rodeo. <br />1. 1.4 Review vision statements and Plan goals prepared by the Project team. <br />1.1.5 Review mapping and analyses prepared by the Project team and establish familiarity with <br />the study area feasibility and constraints studies prepared by the Project team. <br />1.1.6 Identify the study area land use and transportation strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, <br />threats and note opportunities for development. <br />1.1.7 Attend two (2) Project team meetings to prepare for the design rodeo. <br />1.2 TASK 2 — DESIGN RODEO <br />The Consultant will: <br />1.2.1 Participate in the design rodeo and solicit community input to address future land <br />use /growth in San Marcos. In addition, the Consultant will work with the City's design rodeo <br />facilitator, the outside Project manager, City staff and other City consultants during a five (5)- <br />day on -site rodeo. Both the City and the consultant envision that the design rodeo will consist of <br />an open, collaborative design process based on the National Charette Institute guidelines. It is <br />anticipated that this forum will include many interested parties and disciplines in a series of short <br />feedback loops and that it will produce a consensus -based and feasible plan. <br />TBG Partners — Comp Plan 2012 <br />2 <br />
