ORDINANCE 2003- 19 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br />CHANGING THE NAME OF BOBCAT DRIVE TO CHARLES AUSTIN DRIVE FROM <br />ITS INTERSECTION WITH AQUARENA SPRINGS DRIVE TO ITS INTERSECTION <br />WITH HOPKINS STREET; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br /> 1. On December 10, 2002 the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br />Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the name of Bobcat Drive to Charles <br />Austin Drive from its intersection with Aquarena Springs Drive to its intersection with Hopkins Street; <br /> <br /> Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />did, on December 10, 2002, approve the request and has recommend that the request be approved <br />by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />request. <br /> <br />The City Council held a public hearing on~,~h,-.~? ?~,: , 2003 regarding the <br /> <br /> 4. All requirements of Chapter 74 of the San Marcos Code pertaining to street name <br />changes have been meet. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. The street name for Bobcat Drive from its intersection with Aquarena Springs <br />Drive to its intersection with Hopkins Street is changed to Charles Austin Drive. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be in effect ten days from and after its passage, and <br />notice of its adoption shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required <br />by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading Fehz'~a~y 24. 2003. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading March 3. 2003. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED AND ADOPTED March 24, 2003. <br /> <br />Robert B.
