Council Member Porterfield provided introductions and welcome to all present. <br />2. Conferees approved minutes from their June 21, 2012 Meeting. <br />I Laurie Moyer provided a brief presentation. <br />4. Todd Hemingson with Capital Metro provided a brief presentation. <br />5. Dean Danos with Alamo Area Council of Governments provided a brief presentation. <br />6. David Marsh with Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS) provided a brief presentation. <br />7. Sean Blakely, 420 Craddick, addressed those present about being afraid of the federal government <br />determining transit and further federal regulation in the San Marcos area. <br />Rob Roark, 1808 A Hunter Rd, wanted to know why we have to create this district in the first place. <br />Citizen Comment was closed at 7:28 p.m. <br />8. Conferee deliberation and discussion was held. Following a motion by Kyle Kutscher and a second by <br />Doyle Mosier, the conferees approved a Resolution in support of the City of San Marcos requesting the <br />Capital Are Rural Transportation System (CARTS) to create a combined Urban/Rural Transit District, <br />in accordance with Section 458 of the Texas Transportation Code. <br />9. Laurie Moyer explained the next steps in the process to all present. <br />4. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public This is an opportunity for the Press and Public to <br />ask questions related to items on this agenda <br />None. <br />5. Adiournment. <br />
