V otes for Proposition No. 15: Votes against Proposition No. 15: 4,656 618 PROPOSITION NO. 16 The amendment of Section 12.02(a) and (b) of the City Charter to add references to ethics regulations established by ordinance, and to require the city council to maintain the code of ethics and the ethics review commission in an ongoing manner. Votes for Proposition No. 16: Votes against Proposition No. 16: 4,980 520 SECTION 4. The amendments to the City Charter in the Propositions Numbered 1, 2, 4, and 6-16 having been approved by a majority of the votes cast in the election, these amendments shall take effect from and after the effective date of this ordinance. SECTION 5. The amendments to the City Charter in the Propositions Numbered 3 and 5 failed to be approved by the majority of the votes cast in the election. SECTION 6. The importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity, and the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances be presented at three separate meetings, and that ordinances do not take effect until ten (10) days after the date of final passage are suspended, and this Ordinance will take effect upon publication of notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City.
