<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-~213 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS ACCEPTING A RENEWAL OF A GRANT <br />FROM THE OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL CRIME <br />VICTIM SERVICES DIVISION, FOR FUNDING THE SAN <br />MARCOS POLICE DEPARTMENT CRIME VICTIM SERVICES <br />UNIT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council of the City of San Marcos finds it in the best interest of citizens of San Marcos <br />that the San Marcos Police Department Crime Victim Services Unit be operated for the 2006-2007 <br />year. <br /> <br />2. The Office of the Attorney General has renewed a yearly grant of $39,000.00 for the purpose of <br />funding the Crime Victim Services Unit. This grant does not require that the City provide any <br />matching funds. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The City Council of the City of San Marcos approves and accepts the grant from the Texas <br />Office of the Attorney General Crime Services Unit. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to act on the City's behalf in executing any <br />documents required for the acceptance of this grant. <br /> <br />PART 3.
