trails, with different routes used at different times. Considerable portions of the route
probably existed before the Spanish arrived. Some of the earliest segments of the road
were previously links between Indian settlements. This roadway most likely came
through town along the proposed site area.

11. Will the project negatively impact natural or cultural resources? Please explain.

No known natural or cultural resources exist on the site. Conservation elements will be
applied where appropriate. The new enhanced trail will be granite gravel to prevent any
more impervious cover than necessary. Lights will be placed on timers and/or
photocells.

Points may also be added for sustainable development features (those which
have a positive impact on natural resources, e.g. recycled materials used, native
landscaping, reused or restored materials and facilities). will be used where practical
instead of impervious substances for hard surfaces. Recycled materials will be used in
some of the picnic facilities.
