<br />\f:¿ <br />~ :;¡- <br /><S" ~ 56 <br />-- e <br />a::: . ¡ <br />g' <br />0 w~. <br />CI) <br />ORDINANCE 1998 -14 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE ABANDONMENT OF THE PORTION <br />OF THE 15 FOOT ALLEYWAY LOCATED BETWEEN LOTS 291 AND 292, <br />AND LOTS 211 AND 212 OF WESTOVER ADDITION, AT THE REAR OF <br />LOTS IN THE 1200 BLOCK OF BISHOP STREET AND DARTMOUTH <br />AVENUE; APPROVING THE CONVEYANCE OF THIS ALLEYWAY TO <br />ABRAHAM MARTINEZ SR.; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE A DEED; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On January 13, 1998, the City Planning and Zoning Commission conducted <br />a public hearing on the proposed abandonment of the 15 foot alleyway between Lots 291 <br />and 292, and Lots 211 and 212 of the Westover Addition, located to the rear of lots in the <br />1200 block of Bishop Street and Dartmouth Avenue, and voted unanimously to approve <br />the proposal. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The abandonment of the 15 foot alleyway between Lots 291 and 292, <br />and Lots"211 and 212 of the Westover Addition, located at the rear of lots in the 1200 <br />block of Bishop Street and Dartmouth Avenue is approved. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the <br />Quitclaim Deed attached to this ordinance conveying to Abraham A. Martinez, Sr. the <br />portion of the 15 foot alleyway described above, without cash consideration. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance will take effect 10 days after the date of its final <br />passage, and the City Secretary will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of <br />general circulation in the City. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading February 9, 1998. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading February 23, 1998. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED March 16, 1998. <br /> <br />FJ~ C$- . ~ <br /> <br />Billy G.
