In the event no supplemental life program is available through the <br /> City's current carrier, Employer shall provide the same for Employee through another <br /> carrIer. <br /> C. Employer agrees to provide hospitalization, surgical, and comprehensive medical <br /> insurance for Employee and her dependents equal to that provided all other employees of <br /> the City, and to pay the premiums thereon. <br /> Section 13: Retirement <br /> Employer shall provide for Employee's participation in the retirement plan of the Texas <br /> Municipal Retirement System in a manner consistent with all other employees of the City <br /> of San Marcos. In addition, Employer shall agree to execute all necessary agreements <br /> provided by ICMA Retirement Corporation (ICMA-RC) for Employer's continued <br /> participation in said ICMA-RC retirement plan and, in addition to the base salary paid by <br /> the Employer to Employee, Employer agrees to pay an amount equal to five percent of <br /> Employee's base salary to the ICMA-RC on Employee's behalf, in equal proportionate <br /> amounts each pay period, and to transfer Ownership to succeeding employers upon <br /> Employee's resignation or termination. <br /> Section 14: Dues and Subscriptions <br /> Employer agrees to budget and to pay for professional dues and subscriptions of <br /> Employee Necessary for her continuation and full participation in national, regional, state, <br /> and local associations and organizations necessary and desirable for her continued <br /> professional participation, growth, and advancement, and for the good of the Employer. <br /> Said dues and subscriptions shall include, but not be limited to, Texas Municipal Clerks <br /> Association (TMCA), International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), Capital Chapter <br /> of City Secretaries (TMCA), International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election <br /> Officials and Treasurers (I.A.C.R.E.O.T.), The Election Center, Association of Records <br /> Managers and Administrators (ARMA), ARMA Chapter and Council on Governmental <br /> Ethics Laws (COGEL). <br /> Section 15: Professional Development <br /> A. Employer hereby agrees to budget for and to pay for travel and subsistence expenses of <br /> Employee for professional and official travel, meetings, and occasions adequate to <br /> continue professional development of Employee and to adequately pursue necessary of <br /> official functions for Employer, including but not limited to the Texas Municipal Clerks <br /> Association (TMCA), International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), Capital Chapter <br /> of City Secretaries (TMCA), International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election <br /> Officials and Treasurers (LA.c.R.E.O.T.), The Election Center, Association of Records <br /> Managers and Administrators (ARMA), ARMA Chapter and Council on Governmental <br /> Ethics Laws (COGEL), and such other national, regional, state, and local government <br /> 5 <br />
