<br /> 83 <br /> EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND ROSS T. ALLEGRO <br /> FOR THE POSITION OF MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE <br /> STATE OF TEXAS <br /> COUNTY OF HAYS KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 17 day of March, 1998, by and between the City <br /> of San Marcos Texas, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called "Employer," and Ross T. <br /> Allegro, hereinafter called "Employee", both of whom understand as follows: <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, Employer desires to continue to employ the services of said Ross T. Allegro as <br /> Municipal Court Judge of the City of San Marcos, as provided by Sec. 4.03 of the City Charter; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the governing body, hereinafter called "City Council," to provide <br /> certain benefits, to establish certain conditions of employment, and to set working conditions of <br /> said Employee; and <br /> WHEREAS, Employee desires to continue employment as Municipal Court Judge of said City of <br /> San Marcos; and <br /> WHEREAS, The parties acknowledge that Employee is a member of the State Bar of Texas, and <br /> the Judiciary of the State of Texas, and that Employee is subject to the Texas Code of Judicial <br /> Conduct and the decisions of the State Commission on Judicial Conduct; <br /> 1\'OW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants herein contained, the parties <br /> agree as follows: <br /> Section 1: Duties <br /> Employer hereby agrees to employ said Ross T. Allegro as Municipal Court Judge of said <br /> Employer to perform the functions and duties specified in said Sec. 4.03 of the City Charter and <br /> applicable provisions of the City Code and to perform other legally permissible and proper duties <br /> and functions as the City Council shall from time to time assign. <br /> 1 <br />
