<br /> 86 <br /> RESOLUTION 1998- 59 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR AN <br /> APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND <br /> COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR LOW INCOME HOUSING TAX <br /> CREDITS TO BE SUBMITTED BY JACKSON COMMUNITY <br /> APARTMENTS, LLP.; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The City Council believes there is a need for affordable housing units for families <br /> in the City. <br /> 2. Jackson Community Apartments, LLP., a limited liability partnership to be <br /> formed by Southside Community Center, Inc., the Jackson Economic Development <br /> Corporation and Winston Sullivan, has informed the City of its intent to submit an <br /> application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (the "State") for <br /> low income housing tax credits, and has requested a statement of support for this <br /> application from the City Council. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The City Council supports the application for low income housing tax <br /> credits to be submitted to the State by Jackson Community Apartments, LLP. for a <br /> development to be located on Lot 1, Jackson Chapel Addition adjacent to the 1400 block <br /> of Wonder World Drive in the City. <br /> PART 2.
