ORDINANCE NO. 1998 -21 <br />IL1.~, <br />, ';¡¡il <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY <br />BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1997-98 FISCAL YEAR <br />TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE CENTERPOINT ROAD <br />OVERPASS PROJECT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. I n accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires <br />amendment of the City's 1997-98 budget. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Budget Ordinance for the 1997 -98Fiscal Year is amended <br />as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, in order to provide funding for the Centerpoint <br />Road Overpass Project. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. These revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended <br />budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1997-98, are approved and <br />adoptedo <br /> <br />SECTION 30 All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or <br />resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 40 If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this <br />ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, <br />the other provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect <br />without the invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. This Ordinance will take effect 10 days after the date of its final <br />passage, and the City Secretary will be publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of <br />general circulation in the City. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading March 16, 1998. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading March 23, 1998. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED April 13, 1998. <br /> <br /> <br />~~~~ <br /> <br />Billy G.
