ORDINANCE NO. 1998 - 22 <br />< <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET <br />ORDINANCE FOR THE 1997-98 FISCAL YEAR TO CREATE <br />EXPENDITURE ACCOUNTS FOR RESTRICTED <br />DONATIONS TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION <br />DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. In accordance with Section 8016 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires amendment <br />of the City's 1997-98 budget. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Budget Ordinance for the 1997-9a=ïscal Year is amended <br />as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, in order to create expenditure accounts for restricted <br />donations to the Parks and Recreation Department. <br /> <br />SECTION 20 These revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended <br />budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1997 -98, are approved and <br />adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions <br />in conflict with this ordinance are repealedo <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 4. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance <br />is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other <br />provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the <br />invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 5.
