<br /> 134 <br /> RESOLUTION 1998-- 77 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE CITY'S PARTICIPATION AS <br /> A CO-APPLICANT IN THE SUBMISSION OF A PRE-APPLICATION <br /> GRANT PROPOSAL BY THE CORRIDOR BUSINESS INNOVATION <br /> CENTER, INC. TO THE U.So DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION FORA SECOND <br /> PHASE OF REDEVELOPMENT OF THE CORRIDOR BUSINESS <br /> INCUBATOR FACILITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 10 The City, the San Marcos Industrial Foundation (SMIF) and the Corridor <br /> Business Innovation Center, Inc. (CBIC) have been partners in the development and <br /> operation of the first phase of the Corridor Business Incubator (Incubator) at 215 W. San <br /> Antonio Street in San Marcos. <br /> 20 The City, SMIF and CBIC desire to implement a second phase of the <br /> Incubator that will provide for its ongoing operation on a self-supporting basis. <br /> 3. The second phase of the Incubator involves a grant funding proposal to be <br /> submitted jointly by CBIC, with the City as co-applicant, to the UoSo Department of <br /> Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) for the renovation of additional <br /> areas of tlie Incubator facility. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The City's participation as a co-applicant in the submission of the pre- <br /> application grant proposal attached to this resolution by CBIC is authorized. <br /> PART 2.
