<br /> 162 <br /> RESOLUTION 1998 - 83R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br /> APPROVING THE SALE OF LOT 7, BLOCK 1, <br /> KATY ADDITION TO JOHN T. WADE; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> EXECUTE A DEED; AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The City is the owner of Lot 7, Block 1, Katy Addition, as described in the deed <br /> attached to this resolution. <br /> 2. A staff analysis has been made that has determined that there is no present or <br /> anticipated future need for the City to retain this property. <br /> 3. The City has complied with the requirements of Section 272.001 (b)(1) of the Texas <br /> Local Gov~mment Code regarding the sale of surplus real property by sealed bidding and <br /> the high bidder for the purchase of this tract of property is Mr. John T. Wade. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The sale of the parcel of real property described in Recital 1 above <br /> for $2,279.00 to John T. Wade is approved. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the <br /> attached Special Warranty Deed conveying to John T. Wade the property described <br /> above. <br /> PART 3.
