<br /> 45 <br /> RESOLUTION 1998- 100 R <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A LETTER <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE <br /> UNIVERSITY EDWARDS AQUIFER RESEARCH AND DATA CENTER TO <br /> EXTEND A CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF ANALYTICAL <br /> SERVICES FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT <br /> ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. On August 1, 1996 the City of San Marcos entered into an annual contract <br /> with Southwest Texas State University Edwards Aquifer Research and Data Center <br /> ("SWTSU") for the provision of analytical services for the Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br /> 2. On June 9,1997, the City Council approved the extension of the Contract for <br /> an additional year. <br /> 3. Both parties agree to an extension of the Contract for an additional year. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The attached letter agreement between the City of San Marcos and <br /> SWTSU to extend the term of the Contract for an additional year is approved. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the <br /> agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br /> after its passage. <br /> ADOPTED this the 11 day of MAY 1998. <br /> ~'JlJf ~. ~ <br /> Billy G.
