<br />r 5 ~ <br />cii g: 8 <br /> <br />, u <br />Ui .5:, ,- <br />¡;,U '^') <br />a <br />--I <br />~ ORDINANCE NO. 1998 -54 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET <br />ORDINANCE FORTHE 1997-98 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE <br />FUNDING FOR THE PROJECTS RECOMMENDED IN THE <br />WASTEWATER MASTER PLAN AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. In accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires amendment <br />of the City's 1997-98 budget. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Budget Ordinance for the 1997-98 Fiscal Year is amended <br />as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, in order to provide funds for the projects <br />recommended in the Wastewater Master Plan. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. These revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended <br />budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1997-98, are approved and <br />adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions <br />in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance <br />is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other <br />provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the <br />invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. This Ordinance will take effect 10 days after the date of its final <br />passage, and the City Secretary will be publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of <br />general circulation in the City. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading July 13, 1998. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading July 27, 1998. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED August 10, 1998. <br /> <br />~~.~ <br /> <br />Billy G.
