<br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2007 69 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />AND HAYS COUNTY FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF THE HAYS COUNTY <br />NARCOTICS TASK FORCE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECIT ALS: <br /> <br />1. On April 28, 1998, the City of San Marcos and Hays County entered into an <br />Interlocal Agreement establishing the Hays County Narcotics Task Force (the "Task Force"). <br />The Task Force has been in operation since that date. <br /> <br />2. The Parties desire to amend the Agreement and re-establish the Task Force. The <br />major changes are primarily in personnel assigned to the unit by each of the two entities. <br /> <br />3. The parties anticipate that this cooperative partnership will accomplish many <br />goals beneficial to the residents of all three jurisdictions. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1: The terms and conditions of an Interlocal Agreement (the "Agreement") <br />between the City and the County for the establishment of the Hays County Narcotics Task Force <br />is approved.. <br /> <br />PART 2: This Agreement is entered into pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act, <br />Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, as amended. <br /> <br />PART 3: The previous Agreement between the Parties is rescinded. <br /> <br />PART 4: The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to execute the Agreement on <br />behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 5: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its <br />passage. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 17th day of April, <br /> <br />2007. <br /> <br />~i~~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />I <br />
