<br />~ <br />'ei ~ ~B 158 <br />.~ <~ <br />- 1:;j:E <br />1II'ü .....-I 0:::1: <br />""'0 "I ~~ <br />M "'- <br />;. t3 Q <br />u..,. c:> 58 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1998 - 69 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET <br /> ORDINANCE FOR THE 1998-1999 FISCAL YEAR TO <br /> PROVIDE FUNDING FOR FLOOD RELIEF PURPOSES; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. In accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires amendment <br />of the City's 1998-99 budget. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the City Budget Ordinance for the 1998-1999 Fiscal Year is as <br />set forth in the attached Exhibit A, in order to provide funding for Flood Relief Purposes. <br /> SECTION 2. That these revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended <br />budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1998-1999, are hereby <br />approved and adopted. <br /> SECTION 3. The importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an <br />imperative public necessity, and the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances be <br />presented at three separate meetings, and that ordinances do not take effect until ten (10) <br />days after the date of final passage are suspended, and this Ordinance will take effect <br />upon publication of notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 26TH day of OCTOBER ,1998. <br /> &.~ ~. ~ <br /> Billy G.
