CITY OF SAN MARCOS BOND PROPOSITION NO.2 THE ISSUANCE OF $4,110,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS FOR CONSTRUCTING, RECONSTRUCTING AND IMPROVING CITY STREETS AND ACQUIRING LAND AND INTERESTS IN LAND NECESSARY THEREFOR, INCLUDING IMPROVING AND EXTENDING RIVER ROAD, IMPROVING DAVIS STREET, IMPROVING AND EXTENDING AQUARENA SPRINGS DRIVE, AND RECONSTRUCTING AND IMPROVING HOLLAND STREET AND BISHOP STREET VOTES: FOR 2596 VOTES: AGAINST 940 CITY OF SAN MARCOS BOND PROPOSITION NO.3 THE ISSUANCE OF $1,415,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, FOR CONSTRUCTING, RECONSTRUCTING AND IMPROVING FURMAN, ALLEN, CL YDE, DELMAR, HAMIL TON, MARL TON AND EARLE STREETS IN THE WESTOVER AREA, INCLUDING THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF RELATED W A TERAND W ASTEW A TERLINES AND FACILITIES AND DRAINAGE FACILITIES; AND FOR OTHER STREET PROJECTS TO THE EXTENT THAT THE PROCEEDS OF SUCH BONDS ARE NOT NEEDED FOR THE FOREGOING PROJECTS VOTES: FOR 2291 VOTES: AGAINST 1221 CITY OF SAN MARCOS BOND PROPOSITION NO.4 THE ISSUANCE OF $1,210,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION FIRE STATION BONDS VOTES: FOR 2673 VOTES: AGAINST 786 Section 4. Bonds Authorized. As a result of said election, and in conform ity with law, this City Council is authorized to issue the bonds of and on behalf of the City in the amounts and for the purposes set forth in the propositions contained in the proceedings calling said election, as and to the extent hereinabove provided as having been approved by the resident qualified electors of the City voting at said election. Section 5. Emergency Declaration. The public importance of this measure and the fact that it is to the best interest of the City to provide funds for the proposed public improvements at the earliest possible date, for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, constitute and create an emergency and an urgent public necessity requiring that the Charter rules requiring ordinances to be read on three several days and that no ordinance shall become effective until the expiration often (10) days following the date of its final passage be dispensed with for the purpose of adopting this Ordinance as an emergency measure; and said Charter rules are hereby dispensed with, and this Ordinance is accordingly passed as an emergency measure, effective and in force immediately upon and after its passage.
