<br />~~ tEa 26, <br /> ¡=:æ <br /> u.J:i <br />UJ~ 0:::= <br />u~o .,-i &3~ <br /> cn-ã ORDINANCE NO. 1998 -85 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET <br /> ORDINANCE FOR THE 1997-98 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE <br /> FOR END-OF-YEAR RECONCILIATION OF REVENUES AND <br /> EXPENDITURES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. In accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires amendment <br /> of the City's 1997-98 budget. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Budget Ordinance for the 1997-98 Fiscal Year is amended <br /> as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, in order to provide for end-of-year reconciliation of <br /> revenues and expenditures. <br /> SECTION 2. These revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended <br /> budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1997-98, are approved and <br /> adopted. <br /> SECTION 3. The importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an <br /> imperative public necessity, and the provisions ofthe Charter requiring that ordinances be <br /> presented at three separate meetings, and that ordinances do not take effect until 1 0 days <br /> after the date of final passage are suspended, and this Ordinance will take effect upon <br /> publication of notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of December ,1998. <br /> <br /> &~3'. ~~ <br /> Billy G.
