86. <br />Regular Meeting May 28, 2003 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration reconsideration of <br />adoption of Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AWARDING AN ANNUAL CONTRACT TO GENE BAGWELL, DBA MAINTENANCE <br />MANAGEMENT FOR THE PROVISION OF JANITORIAL SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE <br />PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved to reconsider the adoption of the Resolution, and Mr. <br />Thomaides seconded the motion. Mr. Mihalkanin stated he wished to thank <br />the current janitorial service contract for all their hard work through <br />the years. He also stated the reason they lost the contract was to a <br />lower bidder, and wanted to acknowledge the good services rendered by the <br />current provider. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE Diaz. <br /> <br />NAY <br /> <br />Narvaiz, Thomaides, Mihalkanin, Habingreither and Taylor. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting held May 12, 2003, approval of one Ordinance on second <br />reading, adoption of seven Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption <br />of five Resolutions and approval of the Quarterly Investment Report for <br />the quarter ending March 31, 2003, on consensus. The Council removed Item <br />15, approval of an Ordinance on second reading, Item 19, adoption of an <br />Ordinance on third and final reading, Items 25 and 27, adoption of <br />Resolutions, to be considered separately. Mr. Taylor moved for approval <br />of minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 12, 2003, adoption of six <br />Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption of three Resolutions and <br />approval of the Quarterly Investment for the Report quarter ending March <br />31, 2003, by consensus. Ms. Narvaiz seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously (Mr. Mihalkanin voted Nay on Item 21,adoption of an Ordinance <br />on third and final reading).
